The physicians of Parkwood Pediatrics Group would like to announce that Lauren S. Tipton, MD has joined their practice. Dr. Tipton will be caring for Parkwood Pediatric patients at both the Daniel Island and West Ashely office beginning September 6, 2016.

Dr. Tipton earned dual undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology at the University of Georgia. In 2013, Tipton earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee. She then finished her medical training by completing a pediatrics residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Beyond practicing medicine,  Dr. Tipton has enjoyed international mission work to multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Costa Rica, and Romania. When not working, she loves to be at the beach with her 18 month old son and husband, who is completing a Urology residency at MUSC.

“During my pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, I quickly learned of Parkwood Pediatrics’s honorable reputation from families who appreciated the physicians’ dedication to the highest quality of care. I am honored to be joining one of the most established Pediatrics group in Charleston and am eager to practice with the same standard that has set Parkwood Pediatrics apart for the last 60 years.”

To schedule appointments with Lauren Tipton, MD, patients should call the Daniel Island office at 843-849-9582 or the West Ashely office at 843-556-8110.
