Parkwood Pediatrics is comprised of five board-certified pediatricians who take great pride in offering our patients the highest quality of care.
Our goal is to treat every patient like family. In fact, this commitment has allowed us to serve Charleston for over 60 years. It is our greatest compliment that families have trusted us to care for their children over several generations!

- Residency: University of South Florida “All Childrens™” Hospital
- Clinical Interests: Breastfeeding and infant care, child safety, adolescent medicine.
- Personal: I enjoy running, cooking and spending time with my family.
Kirby Smith
- Medical School: Medical University of South Carolina
- Residency: Medical University of South Carolina
- Clinical Interests: Infant care, nutritional health and behavioral medicine.
- Personal: I am married with two daughters. I enjoy activities with my family, spending time outdoors, and kayaking.
Lauren Tipton
- Medical School: University of Tennessee
- Residency: Medical University of South Carolina
- Clinical Interests: Newborn and infant care, childhood obesity, and adolescent medicine.
- Personal: As a mom of four, “free time” includes children’s sporting events, providing the Tipton Taxi service, and keeping up with an ever-evolving calendar. Otherwise, I love to travel, walk, and spend time at the beach!
Lauren Lucas
- Medical School: Virginia Commonwealth University
- Residency: Medical University of South Carolina
- Clinical Interests: General pediatrics, mental and behavioral health and chronic care of medically complex children. Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
- Personal: I enjoy time at the beach, running, going to barre workout classes, and most importantly spending time with my family.
Tricia Humphrey
- Medical School: Medical College of Georgia
- Residency: University of Texas Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center
- Clinical Interests: General pediatrics. Preventative care and behavioral medicine.
- Personal: I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two young children and a very energetic Brittany spaniel. In my free time, I love traveling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
