Pediatric Group Douses Doubt That They’ll Be Back

New Daniel Island Office Opens Just Four Months After Fire

Charleston, S.C. (August 10, 2011) –  Just four and a half months after a fire destroyed Parkwood Pediatric Group’s Daniel Island office at 899 Island Park Drive, the physician group who has been caring for Lowcountry children for more than 55 years, has opened a new Daniel Island office at 109 River Landing.  Just a few blocks from the previous location, fittingly, the new office is next to the Daniel Island Children’s Park.  The facility is bigger and includes many features parents will appreciate, such as separate well-child and sick-child waiting areas.

After a blaze on March 1, 2011 destroyed the building which housed Parkwood Pediatric Group, the physician group immediately began a search for a convenient Daniel Island location that would fit their patients’ needs.  During the search for, remodeling and upfitting of the new space, current patients received care at the Pediatric Group’s West Ashley office.  As of today, patients from Daniel Island and surrounding areas, can be cared for at the new River Landing location.

“Parents will do what it takes to make sure their children receive the best care possible, and we are thankful for those who visited our West Ashley location so their children could continue to be cared for by the physicians and nurses they have grown to trust,” said Dr. Kisabeth, a physician who has been with Parkwood Pediatric Group for 20 years.  “We knew that in return, we needed to quickly find a new location our patients and their parents would love. We’re thrilled we were able to make our new home at 109 River Landing.”

Parkwood Pediatric Group’s commitment to to provide care to their patients 365 days a year will continue with Daniel Island office hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; walk-in hours for established sick patients Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and weekend and holiday hours for established patients at Parkwood Pediatric Group’s West Ashley location.

The phone number to schedule appointments at Parkwood Pediatric Group’s new Daniel Island location has not changed.  Parents should still call (843)849-9582.
