A Letter from Nurse Stephanie

September 10, 2010

Hello all,

Most of you know that my daughter Shae was born with a severe heart defect and had a 10 hour open heart surgery at 6 days of life to correct the defect. She was so sick the first month of life and went through so much at such a young age. With the help of the doctors at MUSC and the life saving research that the American Heart Association offers–her surgery was a success!

We are so excited to celebrate Shae’s 5th birthday on Saturday September 25th at the annual Lowcountry Heart Walk sponsored by MUSC and the American Heart Association. Click on the link below to visit my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. The American Heart Association’s online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you prefer a smaller amount, you can do so by sending a check directly to Parkwood Pediatric Group made payable to American Heart Association.

Your donation will make a difference in the fight against our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers-heart disease and stroke. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Nurse Stephanie
