Schedule Your Drive-Thru Flu Vaccination Online Today

September 8, 2020

Hi Parkwood Families!

In order to minimize patient exposure and provide convenience, accessibility, and safety to you, we are thrilled to be offering a DRIVE-THRU FLU Clinic at the WEST ASHLEY office this year. You will be able to schedule your vaccines appointment ONLINE at your convenience. Click here to reserve your appointment.

Things to know before you arrive at the drive-thru Flu Clinic:

– You MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT in order to receive the flu vaccine. In order to make this clinic run smoothly, only pre-scheduled patients will receive the vaccine. EACH CHILD will need their own appointment slot. These appointments will be made ONLINE.

-Your child must be at least 6 months old to receive the flu vaccine.

-No other medical business will be done at this time (no med refills, sports physical forms, appointments made, etc)

-If your child is less than 9yrs old AND receiving the flu vaccine for the FIRST time, they will need TWO vaccines ONE MONTH apart. Please sign up for TWO dates!

-If your child has had a fever in the last 24 hours, they will NOT be able to receive the flu vaccine.

-If your child has an egg allergy OR has ever had a severe reaction to the flu vaccine, please schedule the flu vaccine during normal clinic hours (your child will receive the vaccine inside the office).

-Please make sure your children are wearing shorts and short- sleeves.

-Children over 4yrs old and parents must have masks on.

-If your child is inaccessible (aka in the third row, middle seat, etc), we may ask the parent to step out of the car and hold the child in order to most safely give your child the vaccine.

-Please arrive in the parking lot at your appointed time in order to keep the line moving as efficiently and quickly as possible.

-If you do not wish to take advantage of the drive-thru flu clinic, we will be offering flu vaccines at all well-child checks (as long as your child is healthy and without a fever).

-If your TEENAGER is driving themselves to receive the vaccine, we will ask them to remain in the parking lot in a designated parking space for 10 minutes to ensure the patient feels well before driving home.
